Day 11: Something Old. I was thinking of taking a picture of my Grandfather Currie’s old photo album from his days in the Army from the 1930’s (it’s where the picture we both took of Orton Plantation is from) but instead this caught my eye today and I decided it would be the perfect something old. This clock was my Dad’s parents and is from the mid 1800’s. It’s a tabletop grandfather clock and although it’s not working, I think it’d only take a bit of work to work. However, I hate the constant gonging of grandfather clocks so I’ve yet to actually get it fixed. I set it to 11:11 since it’s 11/11/11. Another fun tidbit? My Grandmother who owned this was born on 11/11 (sadly 1919 and not 1911 but I always loved that her birthday was 11/11/1919 -easy to remember!).
