Day 6: Books. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am an avid reader.  I love books and have man around my house.  My husband was never more elated than the day I bought my first Kindle because that meant the amount of books coming in the house slowed down exponentially!  I admit I phoned today’s assignment in, aiming the camera and snapping at one of my favorite shelves of my bookcase – my travel shelf.  Whenever I travel, I try and find books about the place and purchase them to take with me and learn more about the area/place I was long after I leave.  Today I was on the road for 5 hours and was feeling pretty tired when I got home!

Some of my books on this shelf include: Lost Plantations of the South was written by a wonderful person I met while photographing Whitney Plantation.    The One Boat Tour books of the Outer Banks are some of my favorites, they have updated them since I purchased them but they are full of awesome stories and tours of places I didn’t even know about.  My invitation designer works for the company.  The White Castle was written by one of the women that used to live at Nottoway Plantation, disguising her name as a man so that she could get it published.

I read on average 120ish books a year (currently at 124!).  If you are a member of Goodreads, let’s be friends!
