Kelly and Eric’s Wedding at the Sheraton Suites in Cuyahoga Falls

At the end of last month I got to see Kelly and Eric again but this time for their wedding and it was such a great day!  While the weather was less than ideal (humid and rain!) they made the time we had outside work and the bridal party were game for anything and just a fun group to be around.   The thing I’ll remember from this wedding though was just how much FUN and LOVE they had surrounding them all day.  Thank you both for hiring me and having me along with you on your magical day!

Before the wedding Kelly and Eric traded gifts and Kelly teared up when reading her letter from Eric.

These shoes were SO gorgeous and I loved the pop they brought to the wedding.

I hadn’t been to the Newman Center in a few years and the last (and only) time I visited this church it was to celebrate the life of a wonderful woman in my life named Gypsy.  During her service, I couldn’t help but look around and think how beautiful of a chapel this was and how I hoped to return someday for a wedding.  I’m so glad that I finally have been able to photograph a wedding here!  It’s such a lovely place!

This was one of the most personalized ceremonies I’ve ever been to and it was quite fun to see the reactions on everyone’s faces throughout.  The church was really lovely to work with and let me do my thing so long as I wasn’t distracting which enabled me to capture Kelly and Eric’s reactions as well, this one was one of my favorites.

Love the high five AND the ribbon wands!

We walked over to Fuller Park and took some quick portraits with everyone before the skies opened up.  Normally I don’t hustle quite this much but the wedding party knew what was up and everyone made this part of the day quick and easy!

While the “poses” are the main goal for this part of the day I always love the in between moments as well and this image of Eric helping Kelly down the stairs ended up being one of my favorites from the day.

There was all kinds of cranes and construction equipment on the bridge so setting this shot up without it being obvious was tricky but we managed to get it done.  I love this waterfall though and it’s a fun feature to play with!

I stayed in the same position as above while the bridal party ran across the way and I captured this image with them and the train depot behind them.   Not your average image but I love it!

Such a great group of people!!

These girls were a blast all day and I LOVED their style.  The dresses were gorgeous and I loved the unique spin of having the cream bouquets with the bridesmaids!

The guys looked pretty great too and were just as much fun to work with.

I sent the bridal party ahead so I could play with Eric and Kelly just a bit longer and sometimes it’s better to not have an audience distracting us.  These two are just too cute!

I also ADORE Kelly’s veil.

How gorgeous is Kelly?!?

I couldn’t choose between these two images so you get both!

We got over to Panini’s JUST before the downpour began and Kelly wanted an image with her bridesmaids at the bar.  This is one of my favorites from the day.

After a few more images at the bar I headed over to the Sheraton and captured some images of the ballroom.  I really loved the decor inside and the purple uplighting really made the room come alive.

Take note of these now 😉

The bridal party had a SUPER fun entrance and this was one of the last ones before the bride and groom entered.

What happened after the chest bump!  The groomsman bounced into the cupcake table!  He managed to save the topper but there were a few casualties.  A few helpful guests managed to scurry in and help clean up!

Kelly wore a LeBron James jersey while Eric wore a “Johnny Football” jersey during their entrance.

They had no idea about the cupcake incident.  LOL

This is when they found out about the cupcakes and the giggles were priceless.

An equally sweet dance with his Mom!

There were luckily enough cupcakes left for all but the Mr and Mrs once didn’t survive.  They made do with what was left though and this cupcake feeding cracks me up.

Kelly’s sisters gave a duo toast which was well executed (sometimes they can go really, really wrong).

I love that Eric’s Best Man is still wearing a prop lei from the photo booth during his toast.

The bouquet toss went off flawlessly along with the garter toss.

Once the dance floor opened up I nabbed the rings and took them on a photo safari.  My favorite though was playing with something glittery – as usual!

The DJ has “a thing” where he dresses up as Michael Jackson and does the entire Thriller dance.  It’s pretty much as awesome as you would think it would be and the guests loved it!

This was a new one and a REALLY awesome idea!  During the reception the DJ played the song “Selfie” and told the guests to run around during the song taking as many selfies as they could – with the bride and groom if possible, upload them online and use the hashtag that Kelly and Eric had designated for their day.  It was such a creative way to get a TON of pics upload and captured in a small amount of time!

At one point during the evening Kelly’s Dad and Uncle sung to Kelly which was really adorable and sweet.

A reception isn’t complete without “Sweet Caroline” and I’m glad it played before I left for the evening!
