This year weather has been anything BUT predictable. Not that it ever IS in Ohio but this year even the ‘norms’ are tossed out the window and every week is a different adventure when it comes to Mother Nature. Days with a 90+% chance of rain don’t see a drop and days with 10% chance are seeing nothing but buckets of rain. On Jennifer and Craig’s wedding day, they had an outdoor ceremony planned which I hoped wasn’t going to get moved inside like my last wedding at Portage Country Club did. Luckily for us, the rain gods were on our side and while a bit breezy, the ceremony took place outside as planned. WAHOO!
I love when venues have a tie in to the relationship other than just being a neat place to be married. Jennifer and Craig met at Portage Country Club when she was a caddy so it was the perfect place for them to say I Do. When the day arrived both were calm, relaxed and just excited to share the day with their family and friends. They each had one person to stand on their side (Jennifer’s sister and Craig’s Dad – I LOVE when parents are in the bridal party!) and the rest of the day followed their theme of simplicity and love. The families were a joy to work with and it truly was a perfect day that I’ll not soon forget.
Jennifer is a talented photographer as well – check out her Etsy shop!

It seriously takes an army sometimes and the ladies at Beauty Therapy were amazing (so was Jennifer’s sister the Matron of Honor).
This image makes me smile every time I see it.
The breeze kept blowing the officiant’s collar up and the giggles after were my favorite.
The light during the ceremony was beautiful!
After the ceremony we popped onto the course for a quick session before the reception began. The rhododendrons were in bloom and GORGEOUS.
Also gorgeous? Jennifer’s eyes.
How beautiful is this bouquet by Dietz Falls Florist??? LOVE IT!
Doesn’t she look amazing?
I loved the frames on the bouquet!
I had the ever-amazing Andrew Jordan with me for their wedding and he captured a great image of Craig.
Another gorgeous image from Andrew.
While I was capturing the side angle Andrew got this image on the other side of the golf cart and I preferred his view.
Their entrance was full of smiles.
I loved Andrew’s shot of the rings!
As always, West Side Bakery did a great job with the cake.
Their first dance was so sweet and lovely.
During “Hang on Sloopy” Jennifer’s sister and Dad got down and I couldn’t help laughing – and taking pics of it.
Before I left for the night I took them outside for a picture with the setting sun over the golf course.
Thank you both for trusting me with your wedding day! Congratulations!!!
