• I don’t get a chance to second shoot often but when I do get to I always am on cloud nine because sometimes it is nice to sit back and just enjoy the day and capture images that strike my fancy. This past weekend I got to do just that for Simply Told Photography.
• If you’ve been following the blog long enough, you may recognize that Nicole is my past assistant. I must confess, it was quite a bizarre role reversal to be HER assistant! However it was quite fun. We always have a blast working together!
• Their wedding day was a picture perfect day – wonderful weather, blue skies and NO SNOW! WOO!
One thing I rarely get to do is take the bride’s dress outside so this was a special treat for me!
I loved being able to focus on the little moments during the getting ready part of the day!
I loved this little guy, not only was he precious during the exit but he also cut a rug later on the dance floor!
Sometimes an “oops” is what makes a great image, here I accidentally caught focus on a bubble rather than the bride and groom but I loved the end result.
Another moment where I was able to focus on the little moments rather than the big picture!
Some of my favorite wedding images are always of the couples walking away from the camera.
I love how puddles can add instant fun to images.
By far one of the coolest photo locations I have ever been able to shoot at – the old iron railroad bridge in Massillon!
I hope that I’m able to go back here sometime SOON with another couple. I could have shot here for hours. I guess it goes back to my old bridge obsession!
Thanks again to Nicole for having me along on Saturday!!!!!!

Did you know that it is illegal to be on a railroad bridge? Being on any railroad track, especially on a railroad track on a bridge, is criminal trespassing, and is a safety hazard (unless you have exclusive permission, which I doubt you did). If someone from the Norfolk Southern Railway (owner of the curved bridge in Massillon) sees the pictures posted above that you have taken, you could be fined up to several thousand dollars. Please stay off railroad tracks and bridges, and be safe. A few pictures are not worth getting hit by a train.
