One thing that I absolutely adore about Jewish weddings is how much emotion and personality goes into the ceremonies. They are so full of life and love and it’s truly just SO much fun to witness (and photograph)! Shiri and Robby’s wedding day was the same way – full of love and life. It was such a beautiful day in Cleveland and we were lucky enough to be able to enjoy it before heading to Windows on the River for them to get married.
Shiri and Robby are just so darn sweet together. All day and night even if they were apart you could tell they were connected to one another as they sought each others eyes while apart and shared secret smiles. The pre wedding jitters never appeared – instead it was just excitement to finally see each other again and get the best day of their lives underway. Their families and friends were so much fun and everyone had huge grins all day long.
Thank you both for allowing me to be apart of your amazing wedding day!
Special thanks to the ever-amazing Hunter Harrison for being my second shooter for this wedding!
Ceremony & Reception: Windows on the River / Cake: Wild Flour Bakery / Cocktail Hour: Greater Cleveland Aquarium / Colors: Purple and Yellow / DJ: Marino Bothers / Florist: Studio Floral / Photo Locations: Cleveland Museum of Art/Wade Lagoon, Voinovich Park and Playhouse Square / Salon: Ladies and Gentlemen Legacy Village / Videographer: Work Shed Weddings
Hunter started his day out with the guys.
I love this shot Hunter captured of one of the ring bearers watching Robby get dressed.
While Hunter was with the guys I was with the ladies at Ladies & Gentleman.
I adored Shiri’s hair and look the day of her wedding! Beautiful!
Once everyone was ready we headed over to the Cleveland Museum of Art where they were planning on doing their first look.
Before Shiri and the ladies arrived Hunter captured this lovely image of Robby reading a letter Shiri had written him.
Once everyone was set Robby was waiting for Shiri to complete her looong walk down to the stairs.
Almost there!
I adore this first look SO much!
One more quick capture with the two of them before heading back up to meetup with the bridal party.
Isn’t Shiri’s ensemble gorgeous?? LOVE (her bouquet was so amazing!).
I loved how this bridal party looked against all of the abundant green!
I really dig this casual groomsman portrait Hunter captured with the guys!
However I may love the one I captured of the ladies a bit more… it may be because of how much I adored these dresses! The purple was just such a great color on everyone!
Our next stop was Voinovich Park in downtown Cleveland. While we were waiting for everyone to arrive I captured this image of them near the water.
The night before the wedding the ladies all got henna tattoos on their hands and arms in honor of Shiri’s heritage. I loved how each design varied depending on the lady (the pineapple is my favorite).
I love this spot for bridal parties! The steps are steep but fun to play with!
These two are so sweet!
Hunter spied this line of trees and had them pose for another quick portrait before heading out here and I love how it turned out.
Once everyone got snack the ketubah signing was underway!
They had a lot of smiles and giggles throughout the ceremony.
I laugh every time I see this picture.
Wedding ceremony time!!
Breaking the glass!
First kiss!
Their cocktail hour was down at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium. It was such a neat setup! I love how as you wound through the rooms there were various stations of food and drinks. The kids LOVED it and I confess I did too.
As the guests moved back upstairs to get seated for the reception we snuck into the shark tunnel for a couple portraits before heading up for their entrance.
A bit of patience and bam – shark!
I loved the decor they used in the ballroom at Windows on the River! The lights in the vases were a fun touch!
How cool is their head table? Loved their lit initials!
Shiri’s brother gave one of the coolest toasts I’ve ever heard and everyone was giggling.
After dinner they opened the dance floor with a beautiful first dance!
Then Robby danced with his mother.
And Shiri danced with her father.
The cake was cut (and everyone played nice!).
I got to play with the rings for a bit and I really love how this ring shot turned out!
The hora went off without incident despite a bit of trepidation at the start!
The bouquet was tossed near the end of the night!
After the end of the reception we headed down to Playhouse Square for a few late-night pictures with the chandelier which I’ve been wanting to visit with a couple ever since it was installed.
We parked on a nearby side street and I couldn’t resist one last shot with the Playhouse Square sign lit up behind them!
