Corey Talks: My Wedding: Guys Getting Ready

I’m caught up on blogging and while I do have a few things going on this month (and this is supposed to be the DEAD season??  ha!) I wanted to revisit my wedding again.  It’s cold out and snowy so memories of the hot August day that I got married on the beach is a welcome thought!

While I was getting ready at our rental house, the guys were getting their pics done and just roaming around the two houses we’d rented down the street for Chris’s family.   Chris’s best man is his friend Paul, whom he’s known for quite a long time.  We often joke about Paul being our child because he pretty much goes everywhere with us.  LOL.

We went back and forth for a long time about the guys attire.  We all knew that tuxes were completely out of the question since the probability of it being hot that day was pretty high.  We ended up at Men’s Warehouse and after about two hours of liking and dismissing everything in the store we ended up with silk khaki pants, silk t shirts and silk dress shirts on top.  Dressy without being hot.  Chris wore a white shirt and Paul wore a blue shirt that without even knowing, almost matched Lisa’s dress exactly.  At that point in time I only knew that Lisa was going to do something “light blue.”  We nailed it!

This adorable walkway was across the street from one of the houses we rented and was part of the property.  I’m so glad that they utilized it as I never got a chance to take pictures of it during the week!

I love everything about this picture.

LOVE this picture.  I love the reflection in the water, the ocean… the bare feet!  Everything.  What is funny is that it took me a lot of fighting with Chris to get him to go barefoot on the beach.  He is a bit of a germaphobe but got over his adversion to going barefoot on the beach after a bit of cajoling from me.   Life’s too short to wear shoes on the beach!

My favorite shot of Chris of the day.

Chris is one of 5 kids and 3 of his siblings are sisters!  Here’s all the girls in his family including his Mom, Sisters and an Aunt.

Here’s all the guys including his brother, brothers in laws, nephews and uncles!

By far one of my favorite pics of my nieces that day, this is also a big family favorite of the day!
