Engagement Session: Erin and Tony in Akron

This past Saturday took me to downtown Akron’s Lock 3 park for a blustery engagement session with Erin and Tony.  This is by far the coldest engagement session that I have ever done!  It was a whopping 14? but with the windchill it was below zero, and well below zero when the winds whipped up.  Erin and Tony are officially troopers in my book!  We shot a bit around the park and while we didn’t quite do the full hour it was darn close.  The end of the session brought me some yummy cookies from Erin (have I gushed about how much I love my clients yet this year? because I do!) and heated seats for me the whole way home.  Saturday I could have kissed the inventor of heated seats!  Best.thing.ever!

Now to Erin & Tony.  They are just a super sweet couple.  Tony is in the military so he’s not home often so I’m sure that amped up the adorable-ness but I think that just in general they are cute together.  As you can see, they are also great in front of the camera which makes my job easy.  I’m still kind of jealous though that they can be out in the freezing temperatures for an hour and yet not having red, running noses and watery eyes.  They will be coming back to the blog in June for their wedding and I have a feeling that it’ll be a great one!

Thanks to you both for braving the elements, not thinking I was crazy when I made you go on the stairs and for the yummy cookies!  I can’t wait until June!

See what I mean?  They are just super cute together.

I love this shot for so many reasons!

This is my favorite shot of the day.  I just love stairs!

I wasn’t kidding about the snowfall but it sure makes for beautiful bokeh (that’s the out of focus circles you see).

Ahhh the look of love never gets old!

We went to the tent to warm up a bit and Erin showed Tony just how cold her hands were!

They are just adorable!

Ring shot in my scarf!  Luckily my scarf colors matches Erin’s wedding colors!

[…]  I think Erin & Tony win for the greatest temperature difference between their engagement shoot (0 with a -20 windchill!) to their wedding (85 +).  It was HOT HOT HOT!!!  However they – […]ReplyCancel
