Grand Canyon

Whew!  What a week (and a little more) this last trip was!  I met a lot of amazing people, learned a lot of new things and got to see places that I’ve never been before.  More will be coming in the days following – I don’t want to bombard you all with a zillion pictures all at once of my amazing trip!  So I am starting at the beginning of the trip – a prevacation to the Grand Canyon!  I’ve never been before (nor have I ever been to Vegas) so I wanted to soak up all that I could and decided to fly in a day early to go there!

I also want to give a shout out to my D300 wherever you are.  Someone stole my D300 on St. Patrick’s Day (I’m Irish AND was wearing green – I think that I have bad luck!).  I’m still not completely over it but it is JUST a camera and at least it wasn’t my wallet.  I’ll be replacing it in the next week or two and I’ll be right as rain but until then me and my steadfast D200 will keep stumbling along.  If by some chance you found a lonely D300 during WPPI, give me a shout and I’ll be your bestest friend for life!

Here’s a couple shots I took from the south rim of the Grand Canyon!

Last week Chris and I went to Maine, just for fun, for a few days.  I had a small break before the “stretch” starts this year (weeks without breaks in weddings) so I thought it’d be fun to take a quick trip somewhere that I loved and wanted to share with my husband that didn’t…

At the beginning of the month, my hubby and I headed out to Las Vegas for the annual WPPI convention.  In the years past, I’ve done some more in depth learning with photographers and group shoots but this year I wanted to lay low and just enjoy it without stressing about shoots and so forth….

  2. Cindy – I was actually just looking at rebuying the D300 at that point but was still in the hopeful mindset that it would come back to me. I’m glad that you enjoyed the shoot!!! I’m about to start working on that day’s shoot here in a little bit. I had to catch my breath a bit from getting back from Vegas!!! Thanks for your kind compliments!! Corey
