Grand Canyon

Whew!  What a week (and a little more) this last trip was!  I met a lot of amazing people, learned a lot of new things and got to see places that I’ve never been before.  More will be coming in the days following – I don’t want to bombard you all with a zillion pictures all at once of my amazing trip!  So I am starting at the beginning of the trip – a prevacation to the Grand Canyon!  I’ve never been before (nor have I ever been to Vegas) so I wanted to soak up all that I could and decided to fly in a day early to go there!

I also want to give a shout out to my D300 wherever you are.  Someone stole my D300 on St. Patrick’s Day (I’m Irish AND was wearing green – I think that I have bad luck!).  I’m still not completely over it but it is JUST a camera and at least it wasn’t my wallet.  I’ll be replacing it in the next week or two and I’ll be right as rain but until then me and my steadfast D200 will keep stumbling along.  If by some chance you found a lonely D300 during WPPI, give me a shout and I’ll be your bestest friend for life!

Here’s a couple shots I took from the south rim of the Grand Canyon!

  • Northern Lights in Ohio

Last night we had a bit of a surprise appearance here in Northeast Ohio – the aurora borealis also known as the northern lights.  They aren’t too common here but do appear in Ohio when the solar storms are really rolling.  I’ve tried time and time again to capture them but usually I don’t have…
