I should apologize for my lack of blogging. I’m now over a year behind on my blog, a few months behind on my Facebook and my Instagram is mostly not updated. While I should have spent the downtime catching up, updating and doing all the behind the scenes work I instead bought a Nintendo Switch Lite and played a lot of Animal Crossing and read a lot of books. In retrospect it’s a pretty healthy way to cope with the sudden loss of my job and career so I’m trying to stop apologizing for what I haven’t done. 2020 has been a YEAR… and it’s only August!
Now that is all out of the way, let us get to the good stuff like Amber and Andrew and this long-awaited maternity session! It’s wild to look back on these photos because I photographed this little babe’s 1st birthday party back in June! Their son is the sweetest little man who has the brightest smile. I photographed their wedding in my first year of business (!) and have documented different stages of their lives over the years. I even took pictures of their secret maternity session the winter before when they knew they were pregnant but hadn’t told anyone yet.
When Amber reached out to me about doing their maternity photos I told her about how I would be photographing a wedding nearby and it just-so-happened to be where they got married. It was quickly decided that after Emma and Cory’s wedding I’d meet up with them at Seacrest Arboretum for their maternity session. The light was PERFECT and the weather couldn’t have been more beautiful. I loved how there were so many flowers in bloom as well!
