Morgan is One!

There are some people in this world you just click with and Heidi was one of those people for me.  We never met before her rehearsal and yet even before meeting in person, we were friends.  It just worked.  It’s hard to believe that we’re coming up on Devin & Heidi’s 5th year anniversary!  Heidi is just an amazing person and I am so honored to be her friend and occasional photographer.  It’s such a treat to watch my clients families grow and it’s been super awesome to see Heidi become such a wonderful Mom to this darling girl that is Morgan.

Heidi, of course, planned an amazing bash for Morgan’s first birthday which had a nautical theme.  Sadly, I had a family commitment that day and couldn’t attend but I’m still drooling over the pictures.  The cakes by Hummingbird Cake Shop that she had were so amazing that I had to send Heidi an email gushing over them.  We decided to meet up on Morgan’s birthday so I could steal a couple slices of their abundant stash of leftover cake and Heidi asked if I’d take a few pictures of Morgan while I was there.  OF COURSE!

Morgan is one of the sweetest one year olds I’ve had the pleasure of photographing.  She was smiling and POSING, Mama taught her well!  She’s such a happy baby it’s pretty much impossible to not adore her within moments of meeting her.   It was a short and quick session but I still had a great time playing with Miss Morgan!

I looove generation pictures.  I don’t have one of me but I have one of my cousin, aunt, grandma and great-grandma that I just adore.  Three pretty ladies!

After the mini session we sung happy birthday to Morgan and she LOVES being sung to.  This is Heidi’s favorite.
