Mayfield Country Club Wedding with Rachel and Craig

Bride and Groom wedding photo at Mayfield Country Club

What a LOT of changes Rachel and Craig had to endure!!  Originally their wedding was scheduled for June at the Union Club in downtown Cleveland.  That date had to change due to the restrictions on gatherings so they shifted to the end of August.  While things were lifting, there were still a lot of restrictions to they opted to switch up their wedding to having their ceremony at Fairmount Temple and a small outdoor reception at Mayfield Country Club and postponing the larger celebration to 2021.

Since things were still SO up in the air, it was comforting to me that Rachel and Craig took so many precautions – staying under 20 people, everyone masked indoors, and having temperatures taken when arriving at the ceremony.

While it wasn’t the day they had initially envisioned, it was still a beautiful day full of love.  Rachel’s family was SO sweet and welcoming from the moment I met them during their meeting through the time I left from their reception they held in 2021.  Craig’s family was also super lovely to get to know over the span of a year as well (STILL obsessed with his Mom’s gown!).  Rachel and Craig were just SUCH a delight to work with.  If you have to work with clients for the span over a year, these were the two to do it with.  While I had other clients who had small ceremonies prior to their bigger event held later, these two ended up being the only ones that I would photograph both events for.

I’m blogging the first of their events now and will blog the second later.  HUGE congratulations to you both!  I hope that BOTH wedding days were perfect for you!

Santangelo’s Party Center Wedding with Jennifer and Tim

Massillon Women's Club Wedding in August

After Jennifer and Tim’s engagement session I was really excited for their wedding.  I had SO much fun with them that day and I knew that it’d be a good wedding to be my first ‘big’ wedding once the shutdowns had lifted.  I was right!  We started the day off at Massillon Woman’s Club which was supposed to be the location for their ceremony but due to their restrictions at the time and Jen and Tim’s guest list count they had to move it over to their reception location.  I am glad they were still able to use it though for their first look and photos before the ceremony!  It’s such a beautiful location and a gem in Massillon.

The ceremony was SO lovely and they did a great job with making their reception location work for both events even though it wasn’t the original plan.  I loved how they included their kids and family in their ceremony and bridal party.  Jen’s Mom was her Matron of Honor!  I LOVE when parents are in the bridal party!

After the ceremony we headed over to a family’s property nearby not far from Santangelo’s and did more photos there for family as well as Jen and Tim and then we stopped by a nearby wooded area that I thought was pretty.  I’m so glad we were able to take this little break between events because I loved the photos from this time.  Yay for days when the sun didn’t set before 5PM!  I also LOVED the fun historic car they were driving.

At the time things were still SO uncertain but these two made it as safe as they could I’m glad that in the end they decided to go for it!  Thank you both so much for trusting me to photograph your wedding!

Stan Hywet Wedding with Frances and Keith

Stan Hywet Micro Wedding in Ohio

On the 4th of July in 2020 after an unexpected hiatus of weddings for 5 months, I tip toed back into photographing events again with the most perfect wedding. Frances and Keith originally had a wedding planned for May which was derailed due to the shutdown.  Unfortunately this meant their plans changed and they ended up being my first “covid wedding” and it was absolutely lovely. After their ceremony they cut their cake at the altar which was the first of many “making it work” twists that my covid clients have come up with.  Their guests departed to head back to start their BBQ reception and we finished up with some photos around the property.

These two didn’t let a pandemic hold them back from their perfect day, even if it was different than they had originally envisioned.  So many congratulations to these two!
