Happy 30th Birthday to Me!

Two days after I got back from WPPI I turned the big whoppin’ 30!!

To celebrate, I decided to have a few friends over for food and drinks rather than go out. I’m not much of a nightclub kind of gal and especially after being in Vegas and out almost every night networking and partying I wanted to just have a low-key night with some friends and my husband! I had a great night and it was nice to see some people I haven’t seen in a while!!! Of course, being a photographer, I couldn’t help but take a few pics during the evening of the festivities!

Hubby got me a cake with the big 3-0 candles. I got a new lens at WPPI (a Lensbaby Composer) and had to try it out, while there is a definite learning curve to it, it is a fun lens!

I have a mild obsession with taco dip and this is by far my favorite one. A co-worker from my days at Akron General Medical Center made this once and I begged for the recipe and have been making it ever since to rave reviews. It’s awesome. If you are looking for a great taco dip recipe, comment for it to be emailed to you. It’s the best. YUM!

I think Gabe was more excited about the cake than I was. He is such a charmer!

See? He’s adorable!!!

Got to have the token self portrait on your birthday! You only turn 30 once!

I had to take one with my husband too – too bad he hates taking pictures!

For my birthday, my husband got me remote start for my new car! So excited!!!

As a birthday gift to myself, I got a Kindle 2.0!!! I am a HUGE reader – last year I read over 100 books! I’ve wanted one for a long time but finally decided to do it, so far I’m in LOVE with it! If you read a lot or find it hard to always pack books, I highly recommend one!

My godparents gave me gorgeous pale yellow roses for my birthday – they were so gorgeous I had to take a shot of them!

  1. Happy Birthday Corey!!! Looks like you had an awesome time. And you deserve it — you only turn the big 3-0 once. But of course to everyone else you’ll always be “29”. 😉
