I love when I get a chance to do something out of the ordinary at weddings and Jessica and Dylan’s wedding had SO MUCH that was out of the ordinary and I loved it! While they did a first look at Amy’s Rustic Event Center before their wedding, they still chose to go offsite during their cocktail hour for photos at a nearby park which has a trail that takes you to Rocky River where the stream was low and able to be entered. I kicked off my shoes and went in wanting photos with the water but eventually Jessica also decided to wade in as well making some of my favorite photos from the day.
That was not the only thing that was unique – they had an antique truck that took Jessica to the ceremony and Jessica and Dylan back after they said I Do! That was a first for me and it was the perfect touch for this venue.
Beyond the unique aspects to their wedding, I just loved spending the day with Jessica and Dylan. I’d met them and their lovely daughter before (and Jessica’s parents!) during their engagement session and it was so nice to see everyone again and spend more time with them. So much thought went into their day and you could tell from the thoughtful touches throughout the wedding like the handwritten thank you notes given to those close to them and how they planned out their time and events.
Congratulations to you both!
