It’s fun when I get to attend both the rehearsal and the wedding. Not only do I already know the gameplan for the ceremony but you also get to know the main players so the day of you’re already friends and know who is who. I don’t get to do it often, but I have always enjoyed it when the opportunity arises! One fun thing I was able to find out is that one of the Best Men owns his own videography company so I knew going in how he worked and how his team and I would work together the day of which is a bonus!
Luckily for Erin, the rain came in overnight and not only was it gone by the time the wedding preparations got underway but it also cooled off the temperatures a bit! This was especially wonderful since the a/c picked that day to go on the fritz at the house where the groom was getting ready with his men, eeep! However I think that was the worst thing to happen all day and if that was the worst thing? That is a great wedding day! Their entire day was perfection and they were so amazingly sweet together, it was such a joy to see.
As with the night before, Nicole was my wingman and did a marvelous job. I always look forward to the days we work together! She even packed me a lunch! How awesome is she?
Typically on the way home from weddings we talk about the day and moan about our aching feet and how exhausted we are. This wedding? Nicole and I couldn’t stop talking about how much we ADORED these guys, their bridal parties and their families. It was such a complete joy to work with them over the weekend and I was sad to see the wedding end.
Here are a couple lovely letters I received from the Mom’s after the wedding.
From Erin’s Mom:
“Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
You were an important part of Erin and Mark’s wedding day!
I really just want to THANK YOU!! for your professionalism, for your helpful input and ideas and for you being a wonderful part of their weekend.
We can’t wait to see the pictures but I really wanted to send you a note of gratitude for you!”
From Mark’s Mom:
“I have to say what an amazing job you did on Mark & Erin’s pictures!!! They are simply beautiful & I don’t know how they will be able to choose when they are making their album!! (take them all!!) You & Nicole were the BEST & just a pleasure to have share this special day!!”
I’m still blushing.

We started the day out with Mark and his guys and captured a few moments of them getting ready while trying to stay cool.
We got to Erin’s parents house just in time to capture the final moments of her mom and sister tying up Erin’s corset on her amazing dress!
I love that Erin had a first look with her bridesmaids and father and made a grand entrance coming down the stairs. One of my silly “wishes” as a kid was wishing we had a staircase like this that I could walk down grandly before dates and proms thanks to that scene from many 80’s and 90’s movies.
Erin’s dress was a bit too voluminous for her to be able to buckle her FABULOUS blue heels so her friends were able to give her a hand with it.
Nicole captured one of my favorite images from the day of Erin and her father’s walk up the aisle.
I love the sweet glances and giggles couples share during the ceremony.
The first kiss was my second favorite moment from the ceremony.
THIS was my favorite moment, Mark’s spontaneous kissing of Erin’s hand.
So so so so sweet.
This is how ridiclously adorable these two were all day. They were smoochin’ all day and I for one LOVED it.
Mark’s Dad hand drew this Just Married sign for their limo, I LOVE the cats! Does this remind anyone else of the monchichis? I looooved mine.
We took the scenic route to the flats for some quick portraits after the wedding, starting at my favorite bridge which luckily was NOT brown and dead this year!
How gorgeous are these ladies? Red has been second to teal this year for the color of the year.
These guys were great to work with as well. Such a fun group!
Of course Mark and Erin had to have their moment here on the bridge as well. LOVE!
We then headed over to my favorite skyline nook for a few more pictures.
Love this image so, so much.
I love dramatic veils especially when there is a breeze.
The sun popped out just before we headed back to the reception so I captured a quick backlit image before we jumped on the limo.
Wild Flour always has my heart for gorgeous and DELICIOUS cakes. I was lucky enough to get a taste of this one and I give it two thumbs up. So divine!
The red and yellow decor really popped in the reception room at the Cleveland Yacht Club!
After their entrance Mark dipped Erin and the guests went wild!
The cake cutting was sweet but fun as Mark played a bit of airplane with his fork.
I loved how Mark’s best men tied their speech in together and passed the microphone back and forth.
The sunset wasn’t very dramatic but it was still a beautiful night.
I was able to nab Mark and Erin’s rings for a photo session while they were greeting guests and I knew that the adorable chairs they used for place cards would be a fun way to play with them.
The first dance started just as the sun was setting and the lighting from Rock the House really brought the room to life.
So sweet!
I captured the happy couple for a portrait with the fading light from the gorgeous outdoor balcony at the Cleveland Yacht Club.
There were a lot of ladies eager to catch the bouquet!
I love, love, love this image of the garter removal. Erin’s glee and her amazing shoes just make this image win my heart.
