I have to admit, one of the things I was most excited about was working a wedding at the newly reopened Historic Onesto Event Center. I had kept up with the renovations via Facebook and they’ve done such a wonderful job with the space and I was elated to be able to see it for myself. It’s SUCH a great addition to Downtown Canton and a beautiful space for a wedding! Here’s hoping this is the first of many weddings here that I photograph!
I also was SO excited to work with this family again!! I love, love, love when I’m able to work with familiar faces – even more so when it’s more than once in a year!! Last May I photographed Marisa’s Aunt’s wedding and I was so happy when I was contacted about photographing Marisa’s wedding. As with Teresa’s wedding, everyone was so absolutely wonderful to work with! Everyone is so kind and warm and just an absolutely pleasure to work with.
Marisa and Jacob I briefly met back in May but got to know them better through the day of their wedding and they are just such a FUN couple. They were so easy to work with and they never stopped smiling (well, after the brief tears during their ceremony). Their wedding was exactly the perfect blend of love and laughter, with a heavy emphasis on the laughter. All day everyone kept talking about how perfect they were for one another and even to someone who barely got to know them I could easily see just how true these words are. They are the epitome of soul mates.
Thank you both so much for trusting me with capturing your wedding day!
Bridal Gown: Mori Lee via The Winner / Cake: Ann’s Cakes / Catering: Lobster Louie’s / Ceremony: Louisville Church of Christ / DJ: Chris Corbi / Florist: The Budding Tree / Reception: Historic Onesto Event Center /
I really have loved the bridesmaid dresses this year, they have been STUNNING!
Before the ceremony we were able to find a secluded area outside of Louisville Church of Christ for some quick photos! Luckily the weather cooperated with us and we were able to find a spot where no one could accidentally see Marisa before she walked down the aisle.
Marisa looked beautiful in her dress!! I loved her veil!
Soon enough it was time to walk down the aisle! I think Marisa’s huge grin says just how excited she was.
There were a lot of laughs and a few happy tears during their ceremony, especially when they read their own vows to one another.
I loved the simple decor they went for and how they incorporated Marisa’s greek roots with the olive branches!
The kiss!
Of course my favorite, the hug after the kiss!
However, this sweet kiss on the cheek may be the best of them all.
We quickly headed over to Onesto Event Center so they could take photos before the guests arrived.
We started off with the bridal party and I really loved the way their attire combined with the Onesto!
These guys looked dapper – Jacob’s jacket was AMAZING and such a perfect choice.
The ladies looked amazing as well, I especially loved the flower girl’s ensemble.
My favorite of the day is their photo by this amazing window!
However this little spot wasn’t bad either.
Ok to be honest, there’s no bad spot at Onesto Event Center!
I love this photo of them on the way out to go walk around downtown Canton, her gorgeous Mori Lee dress flowed down the stairs.
We ended up walking over to the Canton Brewing Company which is where they first met, I love when we’re able to incorporate important places in their story into the wedding day.
One last photo before going back in and it’s a favorite!
I loved their head table with the olive branches and flowers!
How fun are these ostrich feather centerpieces?
The evening kicked off with Marisa’s sister starting the toasts.
Jacob’s Best Man had a tough act to follow with his toast but he managed just fine!
Ann’s Cakes knocked it out of the park with their naked wedding cake! This cake was lemon and lavender flavored.
I love the look on Jacob’s face! Ha!
Their first dance was absolute perfection – the giggles were my favorite.
The parent dances went off without a hitch.
The rest of the evening was spent with a chock full dance floor and LOTS of greek dancing. SO MUCH FUN!
Of course I couldn’t leave without a ring photo!
