Prestwick Country Club Wedding with Melissa and Seth

Covid really messed up a lot of weddings and wedding planning. While no one wanted a pandemic, it’s been really neat to see how wedding traditions and events have changed in the past 4 years. One of the ways is like the wedding on the blog today with Melissa and Seth.

Melissa and Seth said I Do a year prior with just a small gathering of people in a place that they loved. One year later they got dressed back up in their wedding finery and played the video from their ceremony for their friends and family at Prestwick Country Club in Uniontown, Ohio and then entered and celebrated their union with all of their loved ones. While this was a rare event for me to work pre-2020, since then it’s become more and more popular since then.

It was a brisk November day for their wedding but I’m glad the rain held off and that there were still just a few leaves left blazing a bright orange on the golf course for there to be some color in their photos outside. Melissa’s dress and shoes NEEDED some daylight to show off properly!! Seth’s dapper outfit also looked splendid with the fall colors! Indoors I loved their fun placemats they had to keep their guests busy when there was downtime through the evening.

Prestwick Country Club has a great setup for weddings – the dance floor is separated from the dining room so that guests were able to (and did) drift back and forth depending on if they wanted to watch the dancing or sit at a table and catch up with people they haven’t seen in a while. They also have seating and tables in the dance room so you can do both!! Since this wedding was in 2021 it was fun to see the smiles of people getting to see each other again and everyone was eager to find a cozy corner to catch up and weren’t always tearing up the dance floor. This is another trend I’ve seen continue as well – while there are always going to be the dancers more and more people are connecting while drinking coffee and watching the events take place.

Congratulations to you both – it was a joy working with you!
