A few years ago my husband and I stayed at The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake for a quick getaway weekend and I was completely charmed with the place and hoped that I would someday book a wedding there.  It took a few years but I did eventually book a wedding there and I couldn’t imagine any better bride to be there with than Emily.  She was so calm the day of her wedding, literally nothing fazed her.  Beyond that, everything was in my hands.  She trusted me completely and let me do my thing without any input or micromanaging.  Days like that are always blissful!

It was yet another crazy hot June day (oh when oh when will these hot days end???) and the guests were not eager to be outside but the ceremony was so lovely that everyone quickly forgot about the heat and listened to the words of love and the beautiful ceremony taking place on the edges of Lake Erie.  There were storms that day but they went around us leaving us with awesome skies and a bit of wind that we were very thankful for.  The rest of the evening there was a lot of laughs, tons of fun with the many kiddos and good food to be enjoyed!

Thank you both for having me along for your wedding, it was a joy to work with you both!

So this whole scene is hilarious!  This flower girl stole a bunch of grapes and sat down on the floor and started to eat them,  Her Mom caught her at this moment and it was hilarious.

Emily’s sister was a crazy fun dancer!

This flower girl was going around and stealing all of the candy out of the favor boxes at the reception!  LOL

I love that the grandma’s even got out on the dance floor – I hope when I am in my nineties I can get out on the dance floor and dance with my grandkids!
