Julie and Matt’s engagement session if nothing else I hope shows off why I love to shoot in what is called the golden hour. It’s about an hour and a half or so before the sun sets when everything has a golden hue and the harsh shadows of the day fade away. It makes the world look magical and it’s my favorite time of the day with good reason! I always urge my clients to try to schedule their sessions for this time of day so that the light is the most flattering – especially with engagement sessions. Often with weddings we’re at the mercy or the schedule and it’s rare that we can take advantage of this yummy light so I always try and get at least the engagement session in during this magic hour of light and luckily it worked out with this session!
It was such a great day with Julie and Matt! They brought along their adorable dog who had some fancy neckwear for the occasion and he joined us for a few pictures as well. They were all so easy going that our session was a breeze and I am really excited to see them again in June. We also got really lucky with the weather – at the end of October it can be a real guessing game as to what you’re going to get here in Ohio but it was warm and beautiful!
Thanks for a wonderful time and see you both soon!
