This year I’m photographing a lot more intimate weddings and it’s been really fun for me! While I love all weddings there’s something really wonderful about the small affairs that just charm me. At the end of July, I headed up to The Lakehouse Inn in Geneva-on-the-Lake and photographed a sweet elopement between Deniece and Russell which took place on the shores of Lake Erie. It was a beautiful day with few clouds in the sky and the temperatures were perfection. The waves were a bit rough but it was a really neat backdrop for their ceremony when they crashed along the shore. It was a perfect day for a perfect wedding and I’m honored to have been a part of it, thank you!
They were not quite ready when I arrived so I wandered around the Inn and took pictures of the beautiful setting.
The florals were absolutely GORGEOUS and I loved the purple roses.
How fun are these beaded barefoot sandals Russell made for Deniece?!? I loved them!!
See what I mean about the waves making an awesome backdrop for the wedding!?
These two are just adorable together. They dated in High School and reconnected years later. Love!
After the ceremony we took some pictures on the beach and I had them walk along the water before we headed out to the park.
I love when people incorporate items of importance into their wedding day – be it pets, a funny momento or even a car! This car has a long history and is intertwined with their love story so was a part of their wedding day. How FUN is the car and the decorations they added?! I love the colorful cans!
We had a bit of fun with some corny shots!
We finished up the day with some portraits in the shade in the park on Lake Erie.
Thank you both for a great day!!!
