Due to a crazy hot and humid summer a lot of my clients last year put off their engagement session until it was a bit more cooler and not so sweat inducing. Rebecca and Tim were one of those couples and the way things ended up we wound up doing their engagement session about a week before the wedding! It wasn’t the first and it won’t be the last that happens this way… and every time I always love it! It’s kind of fun to have a quick turnaround from the casual and relaxed engagement session to a more formal event within a short period of time. October is also my favorite month so more sessions in the pretty leaves makes me a happy camper!
Rebeca and Tim were so much fun to work with! They are photographers themselves so when I said something crazy I didn’t get the raised eyebrow in wonder. They just went with whatever I suggested. I loved that they suggested Virginia Kendall for their engagement photos and that they were willing to go on the less often chosen side of the trail – the overlook is OK but it’s tough to have in the right light to photograph well. The rocky side has so much more interesting bits (but they both are neat!). Luckily we nailed our start time well to have light in the forest while still having good light when up above as well, which is a tricky feat! Above all else though, I just loved working with them because they are such great people.
Stay tuned for their wedding on the blog shortly!
Can we all pause for a moment and marvel at how gorgeous Rebecca’s hair is??
Oh and the look Tim is giving her = all the heart eyes 🙂
The rocky landscape is so neat and fun to play with!
We were talking by their car about their upcoming honeymoon to Maine (which I LOVE) and I saw the way the light was coming in through the trees. I begged them to humor me for a few more photos.
I’m glad I did because these ended up being some of my favorites from the day. Parking lot pics often are for some reason!
