Brides Talk • Rebecca

I had such a great day with Rebecca and Rick.  I had been looking forward to their wedding ever since our adventurous engagement session and I wasn’t disappointed.  The weather was perfect and I am still quite obsessed with Rebecca’s dress which was a beige color and not your traditional white gown.  Their wedding day was a great day and it was fun to relive the day again when culling the images from their wedding.  I’m still blushing from reading her entry!

“I contacted Corey within days of becoming engaged. Corey was the first vendor I booked and I was so relieved she was available on our date. Truth be told, I stalked followed Corey’s blog since my friends’ wedding in 2009. I loved her style and through reading her posts I could hear Corey’s personal voice. I felt very comfortable with her.

This level of comfort grew during our year of planning for the wedding. I repeatedly emailed Corey with questions or concerns (“Corey – bubbles or ribbon wands for the exit from church?” “Corey – I have 15 places around downtown Cleveland I want to stop for photos!” “Corey – how do we manage our ENORMOUS bridal party?”). Corey responded quickly to each email with advice and reassurance.

Corey’s support continued onto our wedding day. When my Maid of Honor didn’t realize my gown had a hidden corset needing laced, Corey told her how to lace it. When Rick and I stepped up to cut the cake, and realized we had no idea what to do, Corey talked us through it from behind the camera. When dinner ran late, Corey suggested we tweak the schedule and sneak outside for quick photos before the first dance.

Corey is an extremely talented photographer with amazing style, which is why we chose her as our photographer. The support and reassurance she provided helped us to relax both during planning and in front of the camera on our special day. Corey kept us on track, has an eye for catching details and moments, and truly helped hold the day together. This is all shown in some of my favorite photos from the day.

heirloom handkerchief from grandmother for wedding

This hanky was my great-great-grandmother’s and was my “something blue”. I held it with me throughout our ceremony. Some time after the church, the hanky was misplaced and I have not found it since. I am so sad it is gone, and so glad to have a photo of the special hanky.

Rick surprised me with a second wedding band at the altar. In this picture, I am turning back to my Maid of Honor, after seeing the ring. This photo makes me smile & laugh every time I look at it!

We laugh at this photo because while it may look sweet, Rick is really wiping his sweat on me. He loves that this was captured!
